August 2026 Stake Conference Spiritual Preparation

Members of the Fremont Park Stake,
As a Stake Presidency, we are looking forward with great anticipation to our upcoming Stake Conference on August 29–30 with Elder Jed J Hancock as our visiting authority. We pray this conference will be a time of spiritual renewal, strengthened faith, and increased unity as we gather to worship Jesus Christ and hear inspired counsel.
In preparation for Stake Conference, we would like to invite every ward, individual, family, youth, and child in our stake to become familiar with the hymns that will be sung during the conference sessions. We want to make a joyful noise at this conference!
We encourage you to listen to these hymns, sing them in your homes, wards, and youth meetings; discuss their messages, ponder the truths they teach, and then share your thoughts on our Stake WhatsApp group.
Many recent General Conference messages have reminded us of the sacred power of music and encouraged us to sing.
Sister Tracy Y. Browning taught:
“Primary songs are sermons for disciples of Jesus Christ, testimonies to the truthfulness of the restored gospel, and prayers set to music.”
She further taught:
“Sacred music can help write the doctrine of Christ into the soul.”
She also quoted President Dallin H. Oaks, who taught:
“The singing of hymns is one of the best ways to learn the doctrine of the restored gospel.”
Additionally, Elder Clement M. Matswagothata testified that:
“The Savior knows how to reach us through a hymn, a smile, a kind word and sometimes through people we least expect.”
As we prepare our hearts through sacred music, we believe the Holy Ghost can teach, inspire, and draw us closer to the Savior. Hymns do more than fill our meetings with music; they strengthen testimony, teach doctrine, and unite us in worship.
To help us prepare together as a stake family, we invite you to share your experiences through our Stake WhatsApp group. Click or scan the following QR code to get to the WhatsApp group.

As you listen to and sing the conference hymns, consider sharing:

  • A favorite line or phrase from a hymn.
  • An experience where a hymn brought peace, comfort, or inspiration.
  • A testimony that was strengthened through sacred music.
  • A family singing experience or devotional centered on a conference hymn.

We hope these shared experiences will inspire one another and help create a spirit of anticipation for our conference weekend.
